Hey everyone! It’s been a long time since I touched this site and since my last post, I have actively tried to suppress this blog from being publicly visible. I find myself coming back to this space whenever I want to express myself in a way that I can’t talk to other people about. Twitter/“X” has a niche audience with an expected writing style. In-person conversations can only go so far before people start telling me that I am going down a rabbit hole of things that they don’t care about…so here I am again!

Since we last spoke, things have changed. I have decided to leave my role as an IT support member. This role was something that was very familiar to me with over a decade of experience but I wasn’t happy. There comes a point in a young adult’s life where they have to look at what they are doing and decide, “is this what I want to be doing for the rest of my life”. I looked at my job as a computer technician and realized there was so much more I could do. I started working as an Esports coach at the school district I was working for and this impact I made with the kids was something that inspired me to take a leap. Now, I am going into my final year at university with a major in social work. I aspire to be a school social worker but I am open to seeing where life takes me in that regard.

I have started reading again. It’s odd that my interest in reading and my desire to start blogging typically overlap. I think whenever I see the power that words can have, I want to start doing that again myself. This reignited love for reading has also made me care more about increasing my vocabulary and increasing my proficiency at writing.

There was a good chunk of my old content that was focused around autism and while I want that to be a continued point of discussion, I don’t want to limit the things I can talk about. Expect more technology and St.Louis Cardinals baseball themed conversations as well.

That being said, I am working on this post when I should be working on homework so I will need to wrap up shortly. I just wanted to say hi to everyone and let them know that this blog is back on my radar. I intend to write more in the future so I hope you stay tuned for that!
